Joe Bermudez

Boston-based DJ and producer Joe Bermudez has topped Billboard's club charts with his original songs, produced official remixes for an extensive list of pop stars, and shared stages with some of the biggest names in dance music. Beginning his career in radio, he made an impact on clubland through his remixes of hits by P!nk, Céline Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Hilary Duff, and many others since the early 2000s. Over the years, he's toured with David Guetta, Avicii, and the Chainsmokers, and opened for Madonna and Lady Gaga. Producing upbeat, catchy dance-pop songs of his own, he released the debut album New Ginza at Night in 2014, then hit number one on Billboard for the first time with 2016's "Sunrise" (with Louise Carver). He's continued releasing singles regularly, including "Crazy Enough" (2018), "Teach Me" (2020), and "Love in Code" (2023). Born in Maine, Joe Bermudez began working in radio in the '90s, when he was still in his late teens. Initially hired as a board operator at WKZS in Auburn, Maine, he soon began hosting a show called Kiss Klub Night. He later became music director for the syndicated show Open House Party, and hosted mix shows on stations in Ohio and on XM Satellite Radio. He released the progressive house mix CD Circuit Sessions 9 in 2001. He got his break as a producer by remixing three songs from P!nk's 2001 blockbuster M!ssundaztood, which opened the door for further mixes for stars like Mariah Carey, LeAnn Rimes, Shania Twain, and Britney Spears. He released the mix-CD Mass Movement on Nervous Records in 2007 and began hosting the globally syndicated Mass Movement Radio the following year. Constantly touring the world, he's played major festivals like Ultra Miami and Electric Zoo, and he opened for Lady Gaga in 2010 during the Monster Ball Tour, and Madonna as part of her 2012 MDNA tour. Bermudez released his debut album, New Ginza at Night, in 2014, with guest vocalists including Louise Carver, Amanda Brigham, and April Efff. Numerous remixes followed, and in 2016, Bermudez and Carver's uplifting single "Sunrise" reached number one on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. "Ghosting," featuring Meg'n, additionally topped the chart in 2017, and "Crazy Enough" (2018) became Bermudez's third number one hit and Carver's second. "Teach Me" (featuring Paloma Rush) appeared in 2020, and Bermudez released further singles like 2022's "Lose My Number" (with Carver) and 2023's "Love in Code" (with Katie Sky).
