Miles Morrison

Michigan-born, L.A.-based rapper Miles Morrison expands upon conventional trap tropes with vintage samples, an agile flow, and a cinematic sheen. Born in Fenton, Michigan, and raised by a single mother, as a youth he was inspired musically by everyone from Eminem to Pearl Jam, but his primary love was cinema, particularly the films of Kubrick and Tarantino. Attending college in Arizona, he started experimenting with drugs, an experience that changed his worldview. Decamping to L.A., he started his attempts to break into both the movie and music businesses. Gigs at parties and in gritty clubs drew the attention of EP Entertainment, which signed him in a joint deal with Epic. His 2020 debut album, Hollywoodland, showcased Morrison's agile flow and bleak world view over vintage samples and a filmic sheen. With features from Yo Gotti and Stunna Girl, it was accompanied by trio of cinematic music videos conceptualized by the rapper himself.
