Net als Only One Flo, Pt. 1, (2010), is Wild Ones (2012) een kort album van bijna EP lengte, met negen tracks in hun standaard versie zonder de spanningsboog van een volledig album. Maar, geef Flo Rida een aantal dunne maar slimme ideeën en je krijgt heet, aanstekelijk materiaal als “Whistle” voorgeschoteld, waarop de pop-rapper op energieke wijze een seksuele versiertruc uitvoert in de traditie van Lauren Bacall. Dit wordt gevolgd door de titeltrack met Sia, die doet denken aan Katy Perry’s “Fireworks,” maar eerder in elkaar gezet lijkt om tijdens een sportprogramma hoogtepunt afgespeeld te worden dan om een tienerdroom te vergezellen. Flo Rida is zowel sensatiejager en hit-maker terwijl het album naar zijn absoluut belachelijke finish met LMFAO-gastoptreden toewerkt. Het is vol van gimmicks, luchtig en vooral het best in kleine doses, maar het trekt een glittervriendelijk publiek aan en brengt het feest op gang, waardoor het slaagt in zijn enige doel.
