Ian Whitcomb is a unique figure in Trans-Atlantic pop history--he was a one-hit-wonder artist of the mid-1960s British Invasion ("You Turn Me On"), then changed his style completely, wholeheartedly embracing the pop music of the early 20th century. (He was even nominated for a Grammy award for his album of songs played on that famed luxury liner, the Titanic.) TURNED ON ALLEY finds Whitcomb re-creating a bygone era with warmth, wit, and without a hint of irony.
