Mother's Finest came closest with this album to getting some deserved attention. The album stayed on the pop charts for over 20 weeks, generating a mild R&B hit, and the group did some support tours. Unfortunately, it didn't have the one breakout single they needed, or even an album cut that could become a cult winner. Instead, it ended up being a close-but-no-cigar proposition, although it did keep them viable enough to secure another contract with a new label.
