After issuing two albums in her native Mexico, Lynda's first international release came as Mi Dia de la Independencia (My Independence Day), an artistic freedom sign heard throughout Latin America and the U.S. It opens with its main title, a mid-tempo pop/rock song, followed by "Ahi Estare" and "No Quiero Verte," composed by her sister Alissa, who earlier convinced her to pursue a singing career. After Carlos Lara's "Vivir Sin El," "Corazón Perdido," came as one of its best; no wonder it became Mi Dia de la Independencia's first single. From a romantic ballad called "Principe Azul" to a Latin rock-oriented track titled "Maldita Timidez," this album gives evidence of her different sides.
