After a first album that was indie folk blended with rockabilly, which was released in 2014 (I Will Not Be Afraid), Caroline Rose changes up her repertoire. With Loner, the young American opens up her pop chakra and gives birth to a super seductive record. "I would say that this album is as much inspired by Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears as by the punk of the 70s," confides Rose who is much more well rounded but not settling. With her touches of vintage synths, her wavey guitars and her punk like attitude, Loner offers an unlikely canvas in which the imprisoned spirit of The Tiger, Blondie, Devo, Justin Timberlake, Courtney Barnett, Cramps, Sallie Ford and even Kate Bush are found.
