Over repeated listening this album strikes me variously as uneven or challenging. At its best (which is most of the time) I hear in it the best of Nomeansno. The trio also appears to have a strong appreciation of early ZZ Top. The singing-guitar playing frontman of the outfit is Tim Harriss, formerly of Eek-A-Mouse, HR and Hoi Polloi. In twenty years there will be a name for hard rock with heavy rhythms that owes more to funk and country than the urban landscape that spawned. This will be one of the legendary albums that started it all.
