Douglas Spotted Eagle is one of the primary practitioners of enhancing Native American acoustics with synthesizers and electronic processes. Legend of the Flute Boy is the saga of a young man chosen to spread a message of "love, kindness and spiritual understanding" to the world. That message was carved into his cedar flute. Through the music of that flute, he spread the message. Spotted Eagle's sound design certainly qualifies as Native American. He enhances the flute boy's message with gentle percussion and voluminous atmospheres. The depth of those atmospheres puts this in the category of electronic minimalism, even as space music. Deep listeners will feel the flute boy's sincere and emotional delivery. The uplifting acoustics enhance the atmospheres. The uplifting atmosphere enhances the acoustics.
