Pastel Coast
Merging dream-pop shimmer, bouncy jangle, sun-dazed reflection, and affection, Pastel Coast is led by songwriter Quentin Isidore. The project released its debut album, Hovercraft, in 2019, with the suitably titled Sun following in 2021.
Pastel Coast took seed along the English Channel in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the late 2010s. It was begun as a solo studio project by Quentin Isidore, who vocally sometimes bears more than a passing resemblance to Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars. Recorded by David Sagot and featuring additional members, the project's self-issued full-length debut, Hovercraft, appeared in November 2019. They soon signed with Shelflife and Groover Obsessions for the follow-up. Arriving in June 2021, Sun was written, recorded, and mixed by Isidore.
