Lucid Fall
Lucid Fall – born Jo Yun-suk on March 18, 1975 in Seoul, South Korea – is a folk and pop singer/songwriter. During the first part of his career, he was focusing on both a music career as well as his schooling. His first taste of musical success came in 1993 when he won the bronze medal award in the 5th Ryu Jae-ha Music Contest. He then formed Misoni, a modern rock band, in 1997. The band released their debut album, Drifting, in 1999, the same year Yun-suk graduated with a chemical engineering major from Seoul National University. Due to the band members’ military service, Misoni broke up and Yun-suk pursued a solo career under the name Lucid Fall. He released the self-titled Lucid Fall album in 2001. He then moved to Europe to pursue his studies at the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He released his second album, Oh, Love, in 2005, followed by A Night at Border (2007). He then moved to Lausanne, Switzerland, earning a PhD in bioengineering in 2008. In 2009, he returned to South Korea to pursue his musical career full-time. Lucid Fall released the album Les Misérables. Over the next decade, he continued to release albums including Beautiful Days (2011), Flowers Never Say (2013), Someone, Somewhere (2015), and All Life is Small and Big (2017). In September, 2020, Lucid Fall released the “Dancing With Water” single.
