Jess Lee
Malaysia-born Mandopop singer Jess Lee made a name for herself in Taiwan, winning the reality singing competition One Million Star in 2010. She was the first Malaysian to win on the show, breaking a scoring record on the strength of her powerhouse vocals. Soon after, she issued her debut Thank You My Love on Warner Music Taiwan. The album featured the hit single "Suffering" as well as "Burn." Three years later she expanded her sound with increased production value, rock angst, and electronic touches on Heaven/Cliff. 2016's Love Storm further matured her sound, featuring less dance-pop in favor of restraint and sweeping theatrics. To close the decade, she dipped into sleek synth pop and dramatic balladry on 2018's About Jess.
