IN2IT

The South Korean group Skye formed in 2017 as an eight-piece boy band, then slimmed down its lineup to six members in 2019. All eight singers — Yoo Ji-ahn, Jinsub, Jung Yeon-tae, Hwang In-ho, Sunghyun, Han Hyun-uk, Lee In-pyo, and Isaac Voo — initially competed in the TV singing competition Boys24, which aired from 2016 to 2017. Upon the show's competition, those eight musicians were chosen to become members of a group initially called "In2It. Launched in Seoul, South Korea, In2It debuted with Carpe Diem in October 2017. The EP charted at number 7 in South Korea, its popularity boosted by the dance-pop single "Amazing." A pair of single albums, SnapShot and Into the Night Fever, followed in 2018, with SnapShot peaking at number 9 and Into the Night Fever reaching number 14. None of the group's singles reached the Circle Chart in South Korea, however, and In2It's roster had been downgraded to six members by the time the boy band returned in 2019 with another record, Puzzle. Puzzle stalled at number 43, marking the lowest chart peak of the group's career. Even so, the group reached number 19 on the Japanese charts with the non-album single "I'm Your Joker" in 2020, which revived interest in the group. Three years later, In2It rebranded itself "Skye" and released "A New Beginning," which marked the group's debut single under its new name.
