Gilles Valiquette
Gilles Valiquette has had a long and successful career in the music world as a guitarist, singer/songwriter, and even flutist. He began working professionally around 1967, when he was only in his teens, performing with acts like Seguin, Someone, Jacques Michel, and the duet of Liette and Francois. Later, Valiquette went on to work solo and recorded an impressive list of albums, alone and with others, over the next three decades.
Valiquette was born in Montreal, Canada, in 1952. His debut solo album, Chansons Pour un Café, was released in 1972. Other albums followed throughout the '70s, including Second Stop, Evenings of Autumn, Valiquette East Downtown, and Night Flight. There were only about four more solo recordings during the '80s and '90s, but Valiquette's music stayed popular with fans. He also performed on albums with other artists, as well as touring across Canada, Europe, and the United States.
Some of the tracks listeners will find on Gilles Valiquette's albums are "Drizzle of Autumn," "Another Time," "For Three Dollars," "You Broke My Heart," "Spring," "For Eternity," and "Tell Him Hello."
