Flame Princess

"When U Look" is the debut single from Flame Princess and the introduction to songwriter, bassist, and vocalist Jenny Jorde Lunde's new solo project. Jorde Lunde is previously known from the rock trio Wingdings, who received a lot of attention in 2019, both from the press and through high-profile concert bookings at such as, By:larm, Trondheim Calling, Vill Vill Vest, Sunday Digestive at Parkteateret and Club Day at Øya. She is also a contributor to other artists such as Kamara, Synne Vo and Anna of the North. Jenny is currently based in Cardiff, where she divides her time between a Masters in Archeology and further exploration of the Flame Princess universe. A universe that shows a lot of potential even before music is released based on collaboration with us in 9AM Records (Jansen Records) and Soft Management. The single "When U Look" is rooted in the fascination of alternative music, with elements from both neo-soul and Scandinavian pop. Jorde Lunde is inspired by experimental and expressive artists such as Solange and Björk, without this going beyond the song's unique character. In contrast, the song is characterized by Jenny's distinctive and dreamy sound; defined by organic grooves, irresistibly catchy melody lines and alluring vocals. "When U Look" was produced by and recorded together with Erik Samkopf (Pen Gutt, Iffy Orbit, Sassy 009) at Tanken in Sandvika. As Flame Princess, Jenny's unique voice and characteristic songwriting shine through, combining everything that made Wingdings "the band to keep an eye on right now" (subjekt.no) with alternative and highly innovative pop/R&B. Flame Princess is ready to set fire to the Norwegian music market.
