Doomsday Ceremony
Brazil's Doomsday Ceremony formed in 2000 in the city of Curitiba with the aim of melding black metal's brutality with the melodicism of classic '80s metal. Led by brothers Moloch (vocals) and Ciriato (guitar), the band released a self-titled demo in 2001 and spent the next several years perfecting their sound on-stage and in the studio. Their debut album, Apocalyptic Celebration, arrived in 2008 via Brazilian Attack Records. After contributing a track to a tribute album for Brazilian metal act Amen Corner, they began sessions for their follow-up in 2011. Black Heart, Doomsday Ceremony's sophomore LP, was released in their home country in 2015, followed a year later by a worldwide release on Greyhaze Records.
