David Goode
British organist David Goode studied music at Eton College, and from 1991 to 1994 was an organ scholar at King's College, Cambridge, where he was a student of David Sanger. He also worked with Jacques van Oortmerssen in Amsterdam. Goode was a prize-winner at the St. Alban's Competition in 1997 and the Calgary Competition in 1998. He served as the sub-organist at Christ Church, Oxford from 1996 to 2001, and from 2003 to 2005 he was the organist-in-residence of the First Congregational Church in Los Angeles. He became the organist and head of keyboard at Eton in 2005. Goode is also a composer of choral and organ works, and he has pursued an international career as an organ recitalist. His performances with trumpeter Alison Balsom have included concerts at the Moscow Arts Festival, the Three Choirs Festival, and the Passau Festival. He has recorded for Signum Classics, Regent, Gothic Records, and Herald Records.
