Celeda
Dance diva Celeda was born Victoria Sharpe in Chicago; a featured vocalist in her church choir from age seven onward, she later toured with the renowned Cosmopolitan Choir as well. Discovered by house producer Robert Coddington, she was rechristened Celeda and tapped to front the group Heavy Hitters, scoring a series of club hits like "Messin' with My Mind, " "Get It Together" and "I Feel It." Her debut solo album, This Is It, followed in mid-1999. A year later she released an EP of remixes of the single "The Underground".
