Arrival Of Autumn
Arrival of Autumn is a Canadian melodic metalcore group based out of the wilds of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Taking their name from an Opeth lyric, one of several shared influences that also include Metallica, Dream Theater, Between the Buried and Me, and Bullet for My Valentine, the band is comprised of Jamison Friesen (vocals), Brendan Anderson (guitar), Ryan Sorensen (guitar), Liam Frith (bass), and Ty Fox (drums). AOA developed a solid regional fan base before independently issuing their hard-hitting debut album, Shadows, in 2014. The more potent and detailed Harbinger appeared in 2019, and caught the attention of Nuclear Blast, which enthusiastically added the group to its roster, and introduced them to producer Mark Lewis (Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel), who helped shape their third effort. Released in 2023, Kingdom Undone saw the band deliver an uncompromisingly heavy set of songs that retained its predecessor's melodic hallmarks and haunting sonic vistas.
