The computer key strikes again. With Reduxer, Alt-J has announced the release of a hip-hop reinterpretation of Relaxer, their latest studio album in which they tried a strange, not particularly digestible blend of folk, rock and electro. Keen recyclers, the trio gave their eight tracks to some big names from the rap scene: Little Simz (3WW), Pusha T and Twin Shadow (In Cold Blood) and even Rejjie Snow (Hit Me Like That Snare). The group also collaborated with some less internationally known rappers: Lomepal, a French rapper and Qobuzism 2017, worked on 3WW. “It's always been a dream of ours to work with hip-hop artists in re-imagining our music”, tweeted the English band.
