Seafret

Singer Jack Sedman and guitarist Harry Draper aka indie folk-pop duo Seafret met fortuitously at an open mic night in their hometown of Bridlington, East Yorkshire in 2011 and decided to form a band. After drumming up interest online, they made the move to London in 2014 and released their debut EP, Give Me Something, on Sweet Jane Recordings. A follow-up EP came in 2015, Oceans, which ultimately paved the way for their debut studio album, Tell Me It's Real. Released via Columbia Records, the LP went to number 59 on the UK Albums Chart in 2016. Following its releases, the pair returned home to work on second LP, Most of Us Are Strangers, which didn't see the light of day until February 2020 and was preceded by a string of singles and EPs, including 2018 EP Monsters. They opted for a more stripped-back sound on their 2021 Piano Sessions EP, offering a fresh take on previously released tracks including "Oceans" and "Wildfire".
