Ripley Caine
Chicago-based singer/songwriter Ripley Caine emerged in the late '90s with a strong, uncompromising sound that blended indie rock grit with a confessional folk style. Citing influences like PJ Harvey and Joni Mitchell, Caine became a fixture of the Midwestern scene, releasing a string of well-received independent albums and EPs beginning with 1998's Thrift Store Sweater. Her career continued to thrive throughout the 2000s with albums like Lover (2003) and The Logic of Love (2006). After a pair of EPs -- Not Like Other Girls (2010) and Scotch (2012) -- Caine returned in 2016 with Bravo, her first full-length release in a decade.
