Idioma disponible: inglésPLAZA is a Toronto-based R&B artist known for ethereal ballads showcasing his almost hushed but expressive vocal style. The singer/songwriter's penchant for evoking late-night scenes of longing and seduction is exemplified by the title and makeup of Nocturnes (2021), an album he released independently after a phase on Drake's OVO Sound label. Before he was known as PLAZA, Michael Kaminski fronted the Toronto bands Lobby and Decades, the latter of which released a self-titled album in 2013. Kaminski changed direction and reintroduced himself as PLAZA in 2016 with One, an independent EP that resulted in a deal with Drake's Warner-distributed OVO Sound. Shadow, a five-track EP highlighted by "Personal," arrived in 2017, followed by four singles, most notably "All Mine." Kaminski subsequently established a label of his own, Shadow Records, and returned in 2021. A trio of singles beginning with "Still Alive" built anticipation for the first PLAZA album, Nocturnes, released that October.
