Pentatonix
Este quinteto vocal proveniente de Arlington, Texas, se dio a conocer al conquistar la tercera edición del concurso televisivo The Sing-Off en 2011. Formado por Kirstie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi y Scott Hoying, tres amigos de secundaria, el trío alcanzó cierta notoriedad en YouTube con su versión de "Telephone" de Beyoncé y Lady Gaga. Tras añadir dos nuevos miembros, Avi Kaplan y Kevin Olusola, y cambiar su nombre a Pentatonix, el grupo se presentó a las audiciones para The Sign-Off, sorprendiendo por su gran variedad estilística y finalmente ganando el concurso con su interpretación de "Eye of the Tiger" de Survivor.
