Patience Please
High-school buddies Ray Proudfoot and Keenan Dowers laid down the foundations of what would become Patience Please in the summer of 2005. With bassist Jordan Michelman and drummer Chris McFarlane (who, incidentally, was the founder of indiepages.com) added to the lineup, the band went on to formulate a bright, quirky power pop sound that brought to mind acts like Elf Power and the Apples in Stereo. Their debut EP, Parallel Plots, was released on McFarlane's label, Jigsaw Records, in the fall of 2006, and Patience Please rounded out the year touring throughout the Pacific Northwest with Vera Project and Three Imaginary Girls. Patience Please were picked up by Happy Happy Birthday to Me in 2007, and their debut full-length on the label, Fleeting Frequencies, came out in the fall of that year.
