Noah Smith

The rapper known as Yeat, born Noah Oliver Smith on February 26, 2000, in Irvine, California, rose to prominence through his social media presence long before securing a record deal with a major label, following the trend of many of his peers. Relocating to Portland, Oregon, during his adolescence, he began releasing music under the moniker Lil Yeat in 2015, moving to New York and making his official debut in 2018 with his single “Br!nk,” dropping his inaugural mixtape, Deep Blue Strips shortly after. Expanding his discography exponentially over the next two years, Yeat delivered three mixtapes in 2019 and two EPs in 2020, seeing the spotlight catch up to him in 2021 after his track “Gët Busy” went viral on various social media platforms and received endorsements from prominent rappers like Drake and Lil Yachty. Building on this success, his highly anticipated studio debut Up 2 Më (2021) entered the US pop charts at number 183. With the single "Still Countin" paving the way, his sophomore release 2 Alive achieved even greater success, hitting number 6 on the Billboard 200 and selling approximately 36,000 units. Lyfe, his sixth EP, was unveiled in September of that year, featuring guest appearances by YoungBoy Never Broke Again as well as Yeat's alter egos Kranky Kranky and Luh Geeky. In 2023, his third full-length album titled Afterlyfe topped the rap charts in the US and landed within the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, with the artist teaming up with Drake to score another international hit with the song "IDGAF." In 2024, Yeat released his fourth studio album, 2093. The album charted across the U.S, Canada and Australia, landing at number 2 on the Billboard 200.
