Milos

Montenegran classical guitarist Milos Karadaglic disappointed a worldwide group of devotees in November 2016 when he announced that a recurrent movement disorder would force him to stop playing for up to one year. His Facebook page was flooded with concern but fans' worries were eased a year later when he announced that he had taken up the guitar again and had begun to practise two concertos that he would perform over the next couple of years.

His first three albums resounded around the world: 'Mediterraneo' (2011) went to number five on Billboard's Classical Albums Chart, 'Pasion' (2012) reached number two as did 'Aranjuez' (2014) with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and 'Blackbird: The Beatles Album' (2016) hit number seven. Before his injury, he received high praise for concerts in New York, London and Berlin and he played with orchestras in Chicago, Cleveland, Los Angeles and Philadelphia and all across Europe.

He contributed music to the 2014 animated Japanese film 'When Marnie Was There', co-presented the 2014 BBC Young Musician competition and appeared on the Sky Arts show 'Guitar Star'. When he had to stop performing, he wrote on his Facebook page, "In the next year, while firmly on the quest to fully recover and play again, I am planning to focus my energy on other things that truly matter to me, I am adamant in my promise that I will be back on a stage near you, sooner than you think, stronger and better than ever before."
