Originally a pro surfer who competed under his birth name of "Paul Nicholas Fisher," Fisher is an Australian DJ and house music record producer who launched his entertainment career in 2012 as part of the DJ duo Cut Snake. He was born on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Fisher left Cut Snake's lineup in 2017 and kickstarted a solo career with the single "Ya Kidding," as well as an EP titled Oi Oi. His 2018 international hit single "Losing It" was nominated for "Best Dance Recording" at the 2018 Grammy Awards and topped the Dance Club Songs chart in America. It also reached number eleven on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart and number 22 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. One year later, his 2019 release "You Little Beauty" peaked at number nine on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart and number 26 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Despite a string of successes in America, Fisher's biggest audience proved to be in New Zealand, where singles like 2021's "Just Feels Tight" and 2022's "It's a Killa" reached the Top 20. "Atmosphere" followed in 2023, hitting number 10 in New Zealand.
