Leah Marlene

An earnest singer/songwriter, Leah Marlene Grehan has a sound that straddles folk, country, and indie pop. She garnered widespread attention as the third runner-up on Season 20 of American Idol, after which she released her full-length debut, 2022's Many Colors. Born in 2001 in Toronto, Canada and raised in Illinois, Grehan grew up in a musical family the daughter of guitarist and Honeymoon Suite member Derry Grehan. She played guitar and wrote songs early on, and by age ten was already performing. After high school, she studied songwriting at Nashville's Belmont University and continued to pursue her music career, releasing several independent albums. In 2022, she successfully auditioned for the 20th season of American Idol, ultimately making it to the finale and becoming the third runner-up. Following her time on the show, she released her full-length debut, Many Colors. A non-album single, "Flowers," followed that same year.
