Karl Loxley

British vocalist Karl Loxley shot to fame on the 2015 edition of The Voice UK with his powerful rendition of "Nessun Dorma" before issuing a handful of albums, including 2019's Solo Amore and 2021's holiday-themed, Christmas. Hailing from Coventry, Karl Loxley had graduated from the prestigious Guildford School of Acting and spent his time performing at residential homes and working-men's clubs across England while also holding down a supermarket job. In 2015 the tenor applied for the BBC's The Voice UK, where he wowed the judges with his rendition of "Nessun Dorma." Eventually becoming part of Tom Jones' team, Loxley was eliminated in the knockouts, but his appearance left an impression on the audience and following its broadcast he released his debut album, 2016's Everything I Am. Continuing to play the live circuit, Loxley started work on his sophomore release, Solo Amore, alongside the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, taking on several classical and show standards as well as reimaging a selection of pop hits. Released in 2019, the album went straight into the U.K. Classical Top Ten and saw him performing on national radio, TV, and at venues across the U.K. For his third album, Loxley tackled various holiday standards and Christmas pop hits, including John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" and Chris de Burgh's "A Spaceman Came Travelling," on Christmas, released at the end of 2021.
