Haiku Salut
Idioma disponible: inglésAn instrumental electronic, post-rock, folk, and dream pop trio, Derbyshire's Haiku Salut emerged in 2010 with a sound that looks to the neo-classical style of artists such as Múm, Yann Tiersen, and Benoît Charest, and the impressionistic writing of Haruki Murakami for inspiration. Debuting in 2013 with the evocative Tricolore, the band's subsequent efforts like Etch and Etch Deep (2015), There Is No Elsewhere (2018), The General (2019), and The Hill, The Light, The Ghost (2021) continued to build richly detailed cinematic vistas using both organic and electronic instrumentation. Founded in 2010 by multi-instrumentalists Gemma Barkerwood, Sophie Barkerwood, and Louise Croft, Haiku Salut released their debut EP, How We Got Along After the Yarn Bomb, in 2011. Two years later, the group issued their first full-length effort, the critically acclaimed Tricolore. After winning the Green Man Rising contest in 2013, the trio toured the U.K. in support of innovative Celtic folk band Lau, and in 2015 they unveiled their sophomore long-player, Etch and Etch Deep. In 2017, the group appeared on Public Service Broadcasting's Every Valley LP, and in 2018 they issued their third studio album, There Is No Elsewhere. The following year saw the release of The General, an 80-minute score for the 1923 Buster Keaton comedy classic of the same name, and in 2021 Haiku Salut issued their naturalistic fifth full-length effort, The Hill, The Light, The Ghost.
