Turning his smooth vocal talents to the sounds of heartbreak-led reggaeton, Colombian-born Dylan Fuentes found international success in the late 2010s and early 2020s with tracks like "Ajena" and "Mente." Though Colombia's Dylan Fuentes (born Dylan Steffs Fuentes Fuenmayor) established his career during the late 2010s, his musical roots were laid down at the start of the decade. Along with releasing covers of tracks like J Balvin's "Sin Compromiso," the vocalist appeared on reality show El Factor Xs in 2011. After a string of vocally driven singles under the alias of Dylan "El Multifacetico" ("Vuelve," "Santa Diabla," "Pegate Mas"), the musician found his first global success as Dylan Fuentes, racking up multi-million stream counts with rap-addled tracks like "Me Acostumbré" and "Uber Sex." In January 2019, Fuentes enlisted the help of Myke Towers for the breakout hit "Ajena"; racking up ten million views in less than three months, the track saw the musician turn his smooth vocal abilities to the dominant sounds of reggaeton, with production from Dayme y El High. From there, he moved from success to success with the dance-driven "Toke" and Tainy collaborations "Tu Amiga" and "Mente," each securing streams in the tens of millions across streaming services. In 2021, Fuentes collaborated with Cazzu on "Tu Verdad" and offered a potent introspective vision with "DF."
