Psychedelic Witchcraft
Italian occult rock outfit Psychedelic Witchcraft were founded in 2015 by frontwoman Virginia Monti. Employing a sinister blend of blues, acid rock, doom metal, and vintage '70s psychedelia, the quartet, which also features bassist Riccardo Giuffrè, guitarist Jacopo Fallai, and drummer Mirko Buia, cites a wide array of influences, including Jefferson Airplane, Coven, Dio, Cream, Black Sabbath, and Fleetwood Mac. The group issued a debut EP, Black Magic Man, in 2015, with the full-length Vision arriving the following year. Magick Rites and Spells, which combined all of the tracks from Black Magic Man with previously unreleased cuts from Vision, appeared in 2016 via Soulseller Records, and in late 2017 the band issued a sophomore full-length, Sound of the Wind, through Listenable Records.
