Kian

Australian singer and songwriter KIAN blends yearning acoustic pop and elements of dreamy hip-hop. Shortly after launching his recording career in his mid-teens with a pair of rap collaborations, he made his debut on the Australian singles chart with the pop ballad "Waiting" in 2018. The child of two musicians, Kian Maxwell Bytyci Brownfield was born in Castlemaine, Victoria, in 2002. He got his first guitar at age seven and was writing songs by his early teens. His first breakthrough came with a featured spot on rapper Baker Boy's 2017 single "Cloud9," which KIAN also co-wrote. In February 2018, KIAN released his first song, "Too Far Gone," a collaboration with fellow 15-year-old Vince the Kid. Later that year, he won the annual Triple J Unearthed High, a national talent search for high school-aged musicians, and released his solo debut single, "Waiting." The song went to number 15 on the ARIA singles chart. He followed it in early 2019 with "Childism."
