Jose Enrique De La Vega
Grupo Los de la O is a regional Mexican music quartet. Though founded in 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada, its members -- Jesús Baca on accordion and lead vocals, drummer Luis Carlos, bassist Eduardo, and Ramiro on bajo quinto -- all hail from Obregón in Sonora, Mexico. Though their accordion-rich sound is deeply rooted in the norteño and nuevo canción traditions, as evidenced by their June 2019 live debut album, Pura Manzanita, their polished musicianship and contemporary compositions thoroughly reflect the 21st century. In 2020, they issued no less than eight singles, the studio album Tras las Rejas, and the live Pura Manzanita, Vol. 2. 2021 began with "Caravana de Carros" in collaboration with Luis R. Conriquez before they netted half a dozen singles, an EP, a live album, and the smash, charting studio LP La Clase. The first half of 2022 saw two collaborative singles -- "El de Houston" with Ivan Cornejo and "Seguimos Mas Fuertes" with Legado 7 -- as well as the stand-alone tracks "El Tirabalas" and "El Señor de la A."
