The poppy standout from FSOL's Dead Cities LP gets the usual extended remix treatment on this nine-part opus single. Originally released under the name Semtex months in advance of Dead Cities, "We Have Explosive" gets a re-release here, with a pair of remixes each by Leon Mar/Oil (aka Arcon 2) and Curtis Mantronik (half of the original electro duo Mantronix), as well as a number of takes by the group themselves (the vinyl version contains the original, Mar and Mantronik mixes, and the CD's epic "Pt. 5"). Like past remix singles, this one's all over the map, the original sound files recombined in a range of stylistic deployments, from jungle-y breakbeat to downtempo and old-school hip-hop/electro. Good, but not great.
