The Brinks
Los Angeles-based indie pop duo the Brinks juxtapose the smooth delivery of Australian singer/songwriter/guitarist Scott Mellis and the stylized beats and electronics of New York producer Matt Friedman. The two met and started making music together in Friedman's downtown studio shortly after Mellis relocated to L.A. Sharing management with rapper Pusha T, their demos crossed the desk of producer Salaam Remi, who signed them to his Sony imprint, Louder Than Life. The Brinks' debut EP, Temporary Love, followed in late 2015. Its title track had accumulated tens of millions of streams by the time the single "Honey" arrived in June 2017.
