Sleep ∞ Over
Sleep ∞ Over's dreamy experimental pop is the brainchild of Austin, Texas’ Stefanie Franciotti. When it debuted in 2010 with a self-titled cassette on Night People, the single Outer Limits on Forest Family (which sold out within a week of its release), and a split single on Light Lodge with Pure Ecstasy, the project also included Christa Palazzolo and Sarah Brown, but they left to form their own project, Boy Friend. Franciotti continued to hone her sound, which drew comparisons to Kate Bush, the Cocteau Twins, Julee Cruise, and Grouper, in 2011. Signing to Hippos in Tanks, Sleep ∞ Over issued the Casual Diamond single, which emphasized the growing pop direction of Franciotti's music. It also acted as a teaser for her first full-length album, Forever, which arrived in October 2011 and featured Silent Diane's Christine Aprile, also a member of Franciotti's live band.
