Manu-L
Emanuel Gut (born in 1983), who goes by the name Manu-L, is a Swiss singer-songwriter and producer, better known as one half of musical duos Myron and Remady & Manu-L. Gut kicked off his music career in 2003 as the vocalist and guitarist for Basel-based pop band Myron, with whom he released four albums: On Air (2008), One Step Closer (2009), Never Regret (2011), and Butterfly (2013). He was also featured extensively on Swiss producer Remady’s studio debut No Superstar (2010), lending vocals to the singles “Save Your Heart,” The Way We Are,” and “Give Me a Sign,” which hit Number 11 in Switzerland and France. Their creative partnership continued with the multi-platinum Number 1 single “Single Ladies,” included in The Original (2012), their first full-length. A deluxe version entitled The Original 2k13 dropped the following year, featuring a couple of remixes and collaborations with DJ BoBo, J-Son, and Patrick Miller. In 2015, the deep house duo delivered their highest-charting album as 1+1=3 climbed to Number 3 on the Swiss charts propelled by the singles “Waiting For” and “Livin’ la vida.” In subsequent years, the pair kept at it with the release of the standalone singles “L.I.F.E.” (2016), “Give Me Love” (2017), and “Back Again” (2018), which entered the Swiss Hitparade at Number 92.
