Born October 10, 1989 in Manchester, England. Ben Pearce is a DJ and producer who specializes in deep house and electronica. Pearce is the co-founder – with Chris Farnworth - of label and DJ agency Purp & Soul. Pearce released his first single, “What I Might Do”, in 2013, which managed to reach the Top 10 in the UK and Scotland. He then remixed tracks by Josh Butler, Prunk, Le Youth, and Hayden James. He released his first EP, Pomelo, in 2016. His most profile gig was remixing “Cover Me” by legendary synthpop band Depeche Mode. In 2018, he caused controversy on Twitter by tweeting a humorous response to Donald Trump (“I sent you a cyanide egg, did you get it?”) which was interpreted as a death threat by some of the POTUS’ Twitter followers.
