Matthieu Boré
An eclectic musician born in Paris in 1971, pianist and singer Matthieu Boré started out in rock and trip-hop before finding his own style in jazz pop. As a solo artist, he revived Fat Domino's repertoire on True Spirit (2001) and 1950s American doo-wop on Doo-Wop (2003), before revisiting swing-era classics on Sometimes on My Own (2007). Two years later, FriZZante!! was released, featuring a trio and the Italian string quartet GnuQuartet. The Roots album, which follows in 2012, deals in its own way with hits from the 1950s to the 1980s. This was followed by Things We Learned from the Past (2013) and Naked Songs (2015).
