Haley Smalls

Independent R&B artist Haley Smalls matches her mellow if sharply expressive vocals with candid songwriting. Since making her mixtape debut with This Is Me (2015), the Toronto native has released three more tapes and an EP, as well as her first album, Summer Nights (2019). Smalls, who is also a recording engineer, established herself with featured appearances before she debuted as a lead artist in 2015, the year she issued her first and second mixtapes, This Is Me and Imagination. Those recordings established a lasting creative partnership with Megaman, who had previously produced tracks by the likes of Drake and Lil Wayne. Within the next three years, Smalls' discography more than doubled in length with two additional tapes, The Cure and The Cure II, and an EP entitled Heart of Gold, while the five-track Off the Cuff tied together supplemental material. All of this, along with numerous stray singles, led to the full-length Summer Nights in 2019. Among that album's highlights was "Keeper," a trap-styled slow jam that quickly racked up over a million streams on multiple platforms. Smalls' progressions continued across 2020 and 2021 with a steady flow of singles including "Body High," "Saturn," and "Tk Ur Time."
