Bart Kaëll
Born Bart Gyselinkck in Oudenaarde in 1960, Flemish singer and TV presenter Bart Kaell studied music in Antwerp before making two unsuccessful bids to represent Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing third in Eurosong with "Symphonie" in 1983 and then as runner-up with "Carrousel" four years later. Kaell continued to balance his increasingly popular music career, scoring hits with "Ik Vlieg" and "Eenzaam Zonder Jou," with a sideline in TV presenting, where he hosted the Flemish versions of Stars in Their Eyes (Soundmixshow) and Wheel of Fortune (Rad van Fortuin). In 2008 he celebrated his 25-year career with a Top Ten compilation.
