Spanish soprano Nuria Rial and Swiss flautist Maurice Steger teamed up with the prestigious Basel Kammerorchester to record Baroque Twitter, a record that takes in works from the 18th century by composers as important as Vivaldi, Albinioni or Scarlatti. It's one more milestone in an already-long career for the Catalan singer, who is today one of the most vital figures in the world of historical music.

Nuria Rial has become one of the most important voices in Renaissance and baroque music at the international level. Her recordings and concerts cover a fundamental portion of the inventory of historical music: they are an acoustic atlas, from which two great discographic mountain ranges stand out: Iberia, with records like Claros y Frescos Ríos, Francisco Corselli: Music at the Spanish Court or Miguel de Fuenllana: Orphénica Lyra, recorded for the label Glossa, and the German-speaking world, with albums with titles like Telemann, dedicated to the composer's operatic arias, Arie per un Amante and Duetti Amorosi which evoke her encounters with Hayden and Handel, or J. S. Bach: Arias, an homage to the Cantor, all four of which were released on Deutsche Harmonia Mundi. One can't understand Nuria Rial's career without mentioning the Basel Kammerorchester, her go-to orchestra, with which she has been enjoying a professional idyll going back years.
