István Lajkó
István Lajkó is a Hungarian pianist. He attended the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, where he earned his master's and doctoral degrees. He was a prize winner at the 2006 Liszt-Bartók-Ligeti International Piano Competition in Budapest, the 2007 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in Brussels, and the 2007 Cleveland International Piano Competition. He has performed with the King St. Stephen Symphony Orchestra, the Danubia Symphony Orchestra, and the Solti Chamber Orchestra, and he has given solo recitals in Hungary, the Netherlands, Belgium, and China. Lajkó's debut release on the Hungaroton label was the world premiere recording of Carl Tausig's piano transcription of Liszt's Faust Symphony.
