Jonathan Pierce
Jonathan Pierce, a native of Odessa, TX, first gained vocal experience singing in church at the age of seven. Two years later, he began studying voice and continued throughout high school. After graduation, he moved to Nashville to sing with the Christ Church Choir. Naomi Judd heard the youngster and introduced him with the Imperials. Pierce performed for three years, but then moved on to the Gaither Vocal Band. Concurrent with that group, he released a solo album, One Love, which displays his soulful R&B voice. Mission followed in 1997, and in early 2000 Pierce returned with Sanctuary.
