Simply put, Rock in Toronto is a dodgy, bootleg quality tape of a Chicago concert in the early '70s in Toronto. The officially released live albums by the band not only sound better, but the track selection is better and the interplay between the members, which made Chicago such a special group through their first five studio albums, is in evidence on their live box set issued by Rhino. Unless one is so hardcore in their collecting as to have everything else, this set on Purple Pyramid can easily be overlooked.
