Just the Beginning is the full-length debut of America’s Got Talent 2016 champion Grace VanderWaal. Having won over studio and TV audiences at the age of 12 with her original ukulele tunes, she followed up her Top Ten-charting debut EP with a more expansive sound replete with backing singers, strings, occasional humming synths, and stomp-along percussion. She still brings along her ukulele, and keeps it intimate on a few tracks, but it's a pop-leaning release, made with the help of producers including Greg Wells (Adele, Katy Perry) and Sean Douglas (the Chainsmokers, Demi Lovato).
