Matt Balitsaris
A versatile guitarist who has played in settings ranging from avant-garde jazz to world music and creative fusion, Matt Balitsaris has lived in New York City since the mid-1970s. Through the years he has worked (both as a guitarist and as a producer) with the bands C'est What and Loose Shoes, Mino Cinelu, Cecil McBee, Dewey Redman, Fred Hersch, saxophonist Cornelius Bumpus and many others. In addition. Balitsaris has recorded a pair of duo albums with vibraphonist/percussionist Jeff Berman.
