Extermination Dismemberment
Extermination Dismemberment play brutal, slamming death metal full of chugging riffs, guttural vocals, and pounding drums. Debuting in 2010 with the release of Butcher Basement, the four-piece delivered their acclaimed sophomore release, Serial Urbicide, three years later. Following lineup changes and focusing on recording new material, it would be ten years before Extermination Dismemberment returned with their third album, 2023's Dehumanization Protocol.
Hailing from Minsk, Belarus, and formed in 2009 by guitarist Arseniy Kovalchuk and vocalist Valeriy Kozhemyako, the pair quickly started writing material together before rounding out the band with Viktor Kanashevich on bass and Vladislav Martirosov on drums. Playing a brand of brutal death metal that features extreme vocals, thick guitar riffs, and thumping double-time drums, the band recorded their debut album after just a year together. 2010's Butcher Basement, which was issued on the Ukrainian metal label Imbecil Entertainment, quickly cemented them as one of Belarus’ more extreme bands, with the group playing live shows across Eastern Europe. 2013 saw the release of their sophomore album, Serial Urbicide, which garnered positive reviews across Europe and the U.S., and was issued by the Japanese label Amputated Vein. Kozhemyako left the band, and 2016, after numerous unsuccessful auditions, original drummer Martirosov stepped up to take over vocals, with Denis Poluyan recruited to play drums. The refreshed line-up played a handful of shows across Europe, but it wouldn't be until 2021 that the group issued new music with the single "Protonemesis," their first for their new label Unique Leader. Two more tracks followed before the group released their long-awaited third album, 2023's Dehumanization Protocol.
